It was the dating TV show that originated in the UK, that first hit our screens in 2014 when a bunch of singletons agreed to marry partners chosen for them by a team of relationship experts. Of course, the twist was that they didn’t lay eyes on each other until the actual wedding ceremony.

While there has been a whopping 12 series of the UK version of the show so far, us Brits have recently been treated to the Married At First Sight Australia series which has been airing on Channel 4. Of course, it’s proved to be highly dramatic, helping fill the lockdown/winter boredom and most of us have quickly binged watched our way through to the end of season 6.

In Australia, season 7 has already aired but it’s probably not going to hit our screens for some time. Meanwhile, season 8 has been in production and set to air Down Under in the coming months.
