Microsoft Is Still Considering Releasing Halo Infinite’s Campaign And Multiplayer Separately – Forbes


Back in August, Phil Spencer revealed Microsoft and 343 considered releasing Halo Infinite’s single player campaign and multiplayer separately in order to ensure at least one of them made it out in time for the Xbox Series X launch.

Well, not only did Halo Infinite not end up being released in time for the Series X debut, according to Phil Spencer, again, all options are still on the table for release, including splitting the game in half as was being previously considered. And yet back when that was just a rumor in July 2020 before Spencer addressed it, 343 pushed back on it, saying flatly:

And yet, here’s Spencer this week when asked about the issue in a new Kotaku interview:
