‘Crysis Remastered’ Finally Gets Release Date–And A Stunning Trailer – Forbes
Usually, Nintendo Switch owners are left waiting for their port of games for a long time after their PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC-owning counterparts. The same can’t be said for Crysis’ 2020 overhaul, but then again, creators Crytek are clearly pushing technological boundaries to their limits once again, 13 years after the original game did the same.
Nearly a month to the day since its July 23 Switch release, Crytek has confirmed Crysis Remastered’s release for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC (via the Epic Games Store) on September 18–less than a month away. As a digital-only game, this single-player campaign costs a wallet-friendly $29.99 (€29.99 / £26.99).
And boy, does it look beautiful. For the first time, Crytek is delivering ray tracing on Xbox One X and PlayStation 4 Pro, using CRYENGINE’s excitingly named “proprietary software-based ray tracing solution”. Those on PC will have hardware-based ray tracing support via Nvidia RTX GPUs.
