‘Microsoft Flight Simulator’ Arrives As The Highest Scored PC Game Of The Year – Forbes

Microsoft Flight Simulator has been a fixture in the video game world for decades now, and the new 2020 iteration, out tomorrow, appears to be its best.

Reviews are in, and currently Microsoft Flight Simulator is the best scoring PC release of the year with a 94 on Metacritic, outscoring VR’s Half-Life: Alyx at 93 by a single point (albeit with 19 reviews in versus 68, so that may change).

The game is of course a “Microsoft exclusive” as it has that built into the name, but while an Xbox One release is planned (and Series X, no doubt), no date has been announced for a console release yet. But if you have Xbox Game Pass for PC, it does indeed include Microsoft Flight Simulator on launch day tomorrow, which is a pretty fantastic offering and reason #434 why everyone should probably have Game Pass at this point.

That 94 score ties Microsoft Flight Simulator with The Last of Us Part 2 on PS4 and puts it ahead of Xbox One’s highest score exclusive this year, Ori and the Will of the Wisps at a 90.
